Shira Camp is a mountain camp at 3,840 m on Mount Kilimanjaro, used as an overnight stop on the Machame Route. It stands on the Shira Plateau and offers open views across the moorland.
Guests sleep in tents set up by the crew, with meals in a dining tent and basic toilets at the site.
The camp looks up to Kibo and the western breach and is cold at night, so the night is spent resting and adjusting to the altitude.
