Mawenzi Tarn Camp is a mountain camp at 4,330 m on Mount Kilimanjaro, used as an overnight stop on the Rongai Route. It sits below the jagged peaks of Mawenzi, close to a small mountain lake.
Guests sleep in tents set up by the crew, with meals in a dining tent and basic toilets at the site.
The alpine desert setting is cold and dramatic, and an acclimatisation walk is usually done here before the crossing to Kibo Hut.
