Mandara Hut is a mountain hut at 2,700 m on Mount Kilimanjaro, used as an overnight stop on the Marangu Route. It is the first overnight stop on the route, reached after a walk through the rainforest above Marangu Gate.
Guests sleep in small A-frame huts with bunk beds and mattresses, and meals are served in a shared dining hall. Basic toilet facilities are available, but there are no showers or heating.
The site is close to Maundi Crater, which makes a short optional walk on arrival, and it gives a comfortable first step in acclimatising to altitude.
