Machame Camp is a mountain camp at 3,000 m on Mount Kilimanjaro, used as an overnight stop on the Machame Route. It lies at the edge of the rainforest and the moorland after the first day’s climb from Machame Gate.
Guests sleep in tents set up by the crew, with meals in a dining tent and basic toilets at the site.
The camp is popular with trekkers on the Machame Route and offers a good first night for adjusting to the altitude.
