Karanga Camp

Karanga Camp is a mountain camp at 4,035 m on Mount Kilimanjaro, used as an overnight stop on the Machame, Lemosho, Umbwe and Northern Routes. It sits in the Karanga Valley and is the last stop before Barafu Camp.

Guests sleep in tents set up by the crew, with meals in a dining tent and basic toilets at the site.

The short but steep walk from Barranco helps with acclimatisation, and the camp is a quiet place to rest before the final push.
