Mti Mkubwa Camp is a mountain camp at 2,650 m on Mount Kilimanjaro, used as an overnight stop on the Lemosho and Northern Routes. It is the first camp on the route, reached after the walk from Londorossi Gate and Lemosho Glades through dense rainforest.
Guests sleep in tents set up by the crew, with meals in a dining tent and basic toilets at the site.
The name means big tree in Swahili, and the forest setting offers a chance to see colobus monkeys and birdlife on this gentle first day.
